Richard (Rick) Allan Holzinger 68, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday March 14, 2020.

He was born March 16, 1951 to Raymond and Donna (Rutjes) Holzinger in Mankota, Minnesota.

Rick grew up in Mankato where he graduated from High School in 1969. He married Mary Oberbroekling on May 5, 1984 and together they raised two daughters, Callie and Lindsay. After working various jobs in Minnesota, he ventured off to South Dakota. In 1991 he moved his family to Laurel, Montana, where he worked at the Cenex Harvest States Refinery until his retirement. Rick was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. His greatest love was heading up into the mountains, 4-wheeling and panning for sapphires.

Rick is survived by his wife Mary; daughters Callie Holzinger of Billings and Lindsay Holzinger of Laurel; three wonderful grandchildren Kendal, Aiden and Madison; two brothers, Charlie (Joyce) Holzinger of Mankato; Terry (Laura) Holzinger of Webster, Minn.; a sister, Vicky (Steve) Skaff of Apple Valley, Minn., and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law, Raymond, Terry and Neal; sister-in-law Sam; and a nephew, Andrew.

Looks like you spent a little bit of life living in heaven, Rick, hanging out in those gorgeous mountains.  Hope that's where you are now.  Thanks for sharing your great smile and good spirit with us during our time at MPS.   RIP
