I moved to Dubuque, Iowa in 1974 to attend Loras College. I graduated in 1978 with a degree in Accounting. I began my career with Iowa Oil Company located in Dubuque in 1978 and became it's president in 1998. The company operated convenience stores and bulk facilities in Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois. In 2003 we sold our operation. Currently I operate 6 stores in Dubuque and Madison, Wi.
I married Paula in 1998. Paula is an Iowa State graduate an is a CPA. She works in a family business and like me is a workaholic.
In our free time we like to travel and have made up for missing vacations we lost due to work over the years. My biggest hobby is golfing. I'm still a big Viking supporter and have been a season ticket owner for 20 years. It's a 245 mile trip from here to the dome but I do it on a regular basis. My wife is a Packer fan since she lived in Milwaukee for a long time. It makes for fun around the house.
I have four grandchildren which is fantastic. Madeline (8) and Alec (4) live in Dubuque and are Craig's children. Jennifer has Caeli (3) and Noah (7 months). I don't get to see them often as their father is a career Marine.
