Charlie Biedscheid

Charles John Biedscheid, age 69, of New Ulm, died Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at the New Ulm Medical Center.

Charlie was born January 9, 1951 in Mankato to Leo and Eva (Bergmark) Biedscheid.

He grew up and lived in Mankato into the beginnings of his marriage to Jenny Giesen on September 15, 1973. He attended Mankato schools until graduating from Mankato State College. Charlie joined the Marines right out of high school and worked at many places including Sears, MICO, Countryside Refrigeration & Heating and Valley Surplus in Chaska.

Charlie was outgoing, loud, and sometimes obnoxious. He had the ability to strike up conversation with anyone about anything. In his spare time, Charlie enjoyed reading science fiction novels, attending his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events, entering demo derbies, playing softball and volleyball and spending time with his family and dog, Chess.

Charlie is survived by his wife, Jenny Biedscheid of New Ulm; sons, Pete Biedscheid of Le Sueur and his girlfriend Chakara Dauffenbach and her children Christina, Caleb and Caitlyn Krueger and Scott (Michelle) Biedscheid of Le Sueur; and grandchildren, Morgan Goettlicher, Brynn Biedscheid and Kendra Biedscheid.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
