Ann...When I got discharged from boot camp and we, Mike Hoffrogge and I, were walking to our gate at the San Diego airport for our two week leave, we saw all these "new" recruits standing in line waiting to be taken to Camp Nimitz for boot camp training. As we walked by these "squirrels", that's what new recruits were/are called, low and behold who did we run into? Mike and Bob standing in line just like we were ten weeks before. We chatted for a bit before they were herded off to the busses for their ride to boot camp. A memory I will always have.
