Tim McCall

On May 10, 2023, Timothy John McCall was called to join his Heavenly Father. He died peacefully at his home in Rochester, NY.

Tim was born to Thomas and Georgia (Swanson) McCall on September 23, 1951 at Mankato, Minnesota. He was the first of 6 children: Michelle (Mark) Nelson; Mary McCall; Denise (Michael) Minea; Katherine (Warren) Krenz; and Patrick (Ann) McCall.

He spent his childhood years growing up with his siblings, riding bikes, roller skating, and collecting comic books as well as catching butterflies for his collection. He also enjoyed playing sports like wrestling, football and golf. He was a gifted man, so he excelled in his studies, voraciously reading literature and nonfiction works.

After his high school and college graduations, he joined the military where he was stationed in Germany, focusing on language studies. He returned to Minnesota, where he met and married his wife Carmen Johnson. However, cancer took her after 25 years of marriage.

His career moved him to Kansas where he was a Trade Specialist for The International Trade Administration. He joined the Lion’s Club where he organized and performed service projects throughout his adulthood. He eventually moved to Rochester after he accepted a job working as Director of International Commerce for the federal government in New York State, serving the Rochester area as well as the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes. While in New York, he met and married Nancy Wetherbee.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Nancy; stepdaughter Lisa (Angelo) Trivisonno; his stepson W. Raymond Wetherbee II; his grandchildren: Danielle (Brian) Darcangelo, Anthony (Chelsea) Faulisi, Michaela Trivisonno and Erika (Damon) DeLuca; great grandchildren: Oliver, Luke and Austin Darcangelo; Braysen and Lorenzo Faulisi; Rylie, Collins and MaryJo DeLuca; special friends: Bryce, Diana, Tony and Chelsea Butler.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sister Michelle and her husband Mark.

Family and friends are invited to call at Carpenter's Funeral Home, 14 E. Pulteney Street, Corning, NY on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from Noon-2:00pm. A funeral service will immediately follow with Rev. Henry Pascual officiating.

He will be laid to rest in Vista Swedish Lutheran Church Cemetery in Waseca County, Minnesota. Services in Minnesota will be handled through Bonnerup Funeral & Cremation Services.
