Larry L. Lloyd, age 56, of Coppell, Texas, died Saturday, January 12, 2008 after a long illness.

Larry grew up in Mankato, graduating from Mankato High School in 1969. He then went on to attend the University of Northern Colorado at Greely, graduating in 1974. While attending college he was a campus policeman and enjoyed rock climbing and skiing. Larry moved to Coppell, TX in 1976 to work for Gemstar in their audio studio. In 1978 he became a freelance audio technician working with such companies as NBC, CBS, and ABC. He also worked on the set of the TV show "Dallas" and worked at many concerts such as Willie Nelson and Eric Clapton. His career also earned him a Telly Award for audio production in 1992. Larry was an accomplished banjo player and loved music. He especially enjoyed the Kingston Trio and the Beatles. He was an avid reader, a McIntosh guru, and had a passion for history and current events.

Larry is survived by a son, Noah Lloyd of North Richland Hills, TX; sister and her husband, Louise and John Loosbrock of Excelsior, MN; niece and her husband, Aletha and Mark Korchinski of Big Sky, MT; nephew, Cory and Rachel Walker of Jordan, grand niece, Kira Rain Korchinski; aunt, Mickee Steiner of Mankato; three cousins, Billy Steiner, Peter Steiner, and Craig Lloyd.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ledlie Lloyd; and great niece, Isabella Louise Korchinski.
